Will Pro-Life Dems Roll on HR 3200?
On Sunday, 11 Oct., I attended a political event at the home of US Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA-4). I asked him about the 39 pro-life Dems led by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) who have reportedly said they will vote no on HR 3200 if it contains federal funding for abortion. Forbes told me he thought they would roll, that they would ultimately vote yes on the bill, and that that has been their pattern. He added that maybe four or five pro-life Dems might actually stick to their convictions, but he had no confidence that the remaining pro-life Dems would.
Then today, we receive this video clip of Rep. Stupak validating what Rep. Forbes predicted.
