There is a bit of truth to this statement, especially when discussing the current health care reform bill. We really need to focus on the future generations of this country throughout this debate; an aspect I feel has been completely neglected. I read an article recently by a group of doctors and medical professionals, and there was a statistic in the article that places the U.S. as #37 regarding health care. http://www.ourblook.com/component/option,com_sectionex/Itemid,200076/id,8/view,category/#catid107
In many ways this is not very surprising. The entire health care structure needs an overhaul. Information and Communication Technologies need to be updated to be more efficient and handle patient information. We need to question spending in health care and find solutions to some of the smaller issues as well as national necessities. It is time to take care our younger citizens as well, considering that they make up, within one percent, half of the 45+million uninsured Americans.
