33 Think Tank Leaders Propose Alternatives to GovernmentCare

Are there good alternatives to the government takeover of health care that is ObamaCare? The leaders of 33 state-focused think tanks say yes. They’ve signed a statement saying they “believe that expanding the role of government in the health care market is not the change that America needs.” Further, they say, “Congress should focus on a patient-centered approach to health care reform that respects the patient-doctor relationship and empowers the patient and the doctor to make effective and economical health policy choices.”

You can read the statement, plus some of the steps we can take to improve health care by avoiding a heavy hand of government, at Patient-Centered Reform.com. The Illinois Policy Institute will have more information later in the day.
